
Uncovering Opportunities in the end-to-end Journey of Neuro-interventional Specialists

The Strategy Group engaged with Stryker’s neuro vascular division to explore common themes, similarities and differences in the neuro vascular space across Asia-Pacific geographies. The aim of the project was to understand the needs, motivations, drivers and barriers of neuro vascular interventionalists to inform Stryker of the end-to-end specialist journey, and to identify strategic opportunities that Stryker could address at a regional level.

The Strategy Group utilised a human-centred approach to conduct empathetic research with neuro vascular specialists and hemorrhagic stroke patients across India and Australia. In-depth interviews were employed to help understand and empathise with the needs, motivations, behaviours, drivers, and barriers of specialists and patients in each geography. The data gathered was iteratively themed and collaboratively mapped in workshops with Stryker to co-create and generate meaningful insights about specialists and patients end-to-end experience, revealing the gaps, highs and lows that Stryker could address and exploit.
The collaborative human-centred design approach to the research helped yield a number of country-specific and regional opportunities areas where Stryker could create value and inform a strategic direction for growth and innovation.

The Strategy Group co-created country-specific and regional deliverables for Stryker that were tangible and actionable for the strategic direction of the APAC Neuro vascular division.
The deliverable outcomes for Stryker were detailed customer journey maps, critical insights, key similarities and differences, valuable opportunity areas and actionable recommendations.
